Thomas Dionisios Tataris, age 80 passed away on Sunday March 29, 2020. Thomas was the son of Irene and Dionisios Tataris of Hope Street in Tarpon Springs, where he was raised with his sister Kate. Thomas later moved to Avon Park, Florida. There, he worked for Florida Power for 20 years and then worked for the State of Florida. After retirement, Thomas continued to work part-time until age 80. Thomas had 17-years of perfect attendance with the Kiwanis Club. He was voted as The State of Florida Kiwanian of the Year. He served four years as a City Councilman for the City of Avon Park. Thomas was married to Sophie Danapas Tataris for 44 years. He is survived by his children Dennis, Danny, Anna and Irene; seven grandchildren Thomas (26), Maria (23), Alexis (22), Taylor (20), Kristina (15), Sophia (8) and Nikolas (5); one great-grandchild London (2); and his sister, Kate Theodore. Thomas had many career achievements over the years, however he took the most pride in his family which he loved dearly.
