Tonya Houck, 54, of Hudson went to be in the loving arms of her husband, Roger on April 8th, 2022, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, Loren and Judy Myers, 3 sisters, Dawn (Andy) Lomelino, Kim (Tommy) Berry and Amber (Roberto) Myers, a stepdaughter, Angie (Bill) Zopp, Grandmother, Dorothy Gillis, 2 Grandchildren Tyler and Ryan Hicks, Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends.
Tonya loved her family, friends, and fur babies. She did not meet an animal that she wasn’t willing to spoil. She loved to travel, ride her motorcycle, the beach, to shop, and spend time with the ones she loves. She had been a registered nurse since 1996 as a member of the National Honor Society and worked most of her career in the emergency department. She went back to school and earned her BSN in 2018. She was married to Roger for 29 years and loved to tell of the many stories and adventures that they shared together.
We are having a celebration of life in honor of Tonya on Wednesday April 20th at 11:00 am at 10606 Hilltop Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34654. Tonya did not want a “funeral” as they are always sad. She wanted everyone to share happy moments and memories we all had with her. Black attire is not encouraged as she would want this to be a celebration. The biggest comfort her family and friends have right now is to know that she is with her loved ones that have preceded her in death and especially her husband Roger as she would tell her loved ones often that this life on earth just isn’t the same without him beside her.

Tonya was such a wonderful person. Loved her with my whole heart. She loved her family so much & spoke of them often when we spoke on the phone or when she & Roger came for a visit.
Gone but Never Fogotten.

Tonya… you were a beautiful person inside and out. You touched the lives of so many people. I loved working with you. You were always so kind, helpful, caring, compassionate, supportive, and helpful. Truly a fabulous nurse. I will never forget how encouraging you were to me when I worked in the emergency department as a new nurse. May you Rest In Peace. Heaven gained an angel when you left us. So very sorry for your loss, Tonya was a great nurse and person. I will miss her smile and sense of humor. Tonya was definitely one of the kindness most genuine person I had the privilege to had known. Prayers to all her family.

My niece, my friend, I love you so much! I am so happy we got to spend some time together. You was my inspiration to go back to school in the medical field. You told me it was never too late. I worked with roger and tonya at Riverview nursing home and before they moved to Florida they lived up the street from us great people l was so sorry to hear about roger and shocked to hear about tonya I know she is with roger again such a great loss she made roger so happy so once again I am sorry and send prayers to her family and friends🙏💔
