Vera “Baka” Kurold, age 82, passed away on November 25th, 2023. Vera is survived by her loving son Ringo, daughter Romana, daughter-in-law Cecelia, granddaughter Amanda and great grandsons Jude and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tomislav Kurold.
Vera, also known as “Baka” by her loved ones, will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was a kind and compassionate woman who always put others first. Vera’s warm smile and loving nature brought joy to the lives of those around her. She had a special bond with her family, friends and neighbors, cherishing every moment spent with them. She was known as the Baka who always had ice cream and loved to spoil the children. Her 4 legged friends were her babies and would take their place on either side of her on the couch to watch the soaps.
Born in Croatia, Vera’s journey led her to Chicago, then Port Richey FL, where she created a loving home for her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always providing unwavering support and love to everyone she knew. Vera’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Dear Kurold Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s especially hard during the holidays to feel the loss but know that even though momma is not at your table she is sitting with God at his. Lean on each other and friends during this difficult time, we are here for you always.
