Victoria Jarvis Owen was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her quickly became a friend. She left this world to be with her Savior on February 1, 2021.
Vicki was born in Massena, NY on August 8, 1955. She grew up in a large family full of sibling love and with a strong work ethic. She worked diligently her whole life to provide the best for her three sons and to make sure they had everything they needed to be successful in life. She was selfless, hardworking, and dedicated to family and friends.
She moved to North Carolina in the early 1980s where she became a staple and loving member of the Brevard, NC community. She put all of her energy into the betterment of the community and her love and commitment was reciprocated by everyone in town. This is where she finally met her soulmate and perfect companion: a small town country gentleman, Jerry Owen. They were married on July 26, 1997 in a small intimate ceremony, fitting for their love. Together, they enriched each other’s lives and the community that surrounded them. Years later, they relocated to Florida for better weather and health in 2016.
Vicki is predeceased by her mother, Eleanor LaBrake and sister, Shelby Gokey. She is survived by her loving husband Jerry Owen, and her three children: Stephen (Tracy) Brothers, Tom Brothers, Dennis (Shannon) Burnham, and stepdaughter Jacque (Darrick) Ballard. She leaves behind her stepfather, Leo LaBrake and six siblings: Francis “Butch” Jarvis, Loma Kocienski, Donna Shoen, Joey LaBrake, Lisa Raveling, and John LaBrake. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
She will be laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or Humane Society of Pasco County in her honor.
