Virginia Matilda Douthitt
Born on February 27, 1924 to Clair Milton Young and Hazel MacQuisten Young in Shenango, Pennsylvania. Raised in New Castle, Penn, she graduated Shenango High School. She was the second of four children. Sister Alice Ignatz, deceased. Sister Elenor Gaslow of Hemit, Ca.,and brother Robert M Young, deceased.

As a young woman, she worked at Pennys Department store, utilizing her eye for fashion to dress the window mannequins in the latest glamorous styles. Her fondest stories centered around her love of jitterbug dancing, big band music and dance halls.

On September 13th 1946 she married David Clifford Douthitt and together they raised three children. In 1974 they moved from Ravenna, Ohio to Florida and continued their journey, building their new home, in the sunshine of Tarpon Springs. There she continued her life's work as a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A dedicated Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan. She loved dogs, especially her chihuahua, Rocko.

She is survived by her son Gary and wife Cheryl, son Chris, daughter Kim and husband Don (Tyre). Grand daughters Michelle, Andrea and Taylor. Great grand daughters Mykenna and Madisyn.
