July 31, 1938~January 27, 2021

Walter Allen Creamer Sr. passed away on Wednesday, January 27th, in the comfort of the home he built, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Ruth Creamer; pre-deceased by his son, Walter Jr. (Terry); survived by his three sons and their wives – Michael, Tim & Kellye, David & Cherie; five grandchildren and their husbands – (Dave) Ashley (Lonnie) Kieley (Vaughn), (Tim) Victoria & Terry, (Mike) Ruthie; and five great grandchildren – Natalie, Zachary, Addisyn, Oliver & Finley.

A direct reflection of the Westerns he reveled in so much, Walter Creamer converged towards his own manifestation of destiny at an early age – a loving wife, devoted family and lifetime of serving God. As Matt Dillon tended to the law and order of the Western world he cherished, Walter epitomized the fierce leading man that guided his own family towards salvation and peace – with his leading lady standing unwaveringly at his side.

A remarkable man who offered a gentle and kind perspective on the world, Walt’s quick wit and subtle humor set the stage for the endless relationships that took place throughout his life; members of the church who relied on his resolute faith, fellow construction workers whom he guided as a mentor, and friends that would move mountains to repay his limitless kindness. To his own wife, he acted as the wind beneath her wings – an authentic gust breathing life into their long marriage.

Two sides of the same coin, Walter and Ruth redefined the ebb and flow of “pure love.” As high school sweethearts, the two relished in a lifetime of syncronicity that shaped each into the joyful, hilarious and powerful duo they became. They set the standard for true, unconditional devotion, overflowing in tenderness and respect. If Ruth was the wind in the sails, Walt acted as the rudder of their ship, steering the entire family towards a life shining in the light of the Lord. Each member of the Creamer family has stemmed from the deeply engrained moral compass that he established at the start, and all becoming better humans because of him.

(This beautiful obituary was written by my niece Victoria Creamer for her Pop Pop)
