RIP Walter. I always will remember you and your visit with my brother to our home while you both were on leave back in the early ‘70’s. You impressed me because you played a double stroke roll with a pair of butter knives.
You also auditioned me for the Drum Corps when you were stationed in New Orleans; which helped lead to a guaranteed field music school upon graduation from boot camp. This eventually let to 4 years with The Commandant’s Own. Thank you Sir for all your encouragement!!
Thank you for your friendship, and your mentorship. God Bless you and your family.
