I met Wanda when she was 6 and I was 5. We have continued to be closest of friends all these years. Wanda was always here for me, and I tried to be there for her.
I miss her so very much. We could talk on the phone for hours at a time keeping in touch even when we lived far apart.
Wanda was truly a friend’s friend. When we were young, Wanda played the piano and I would sing. Wanda was an excellent young pianist until an unfortunate accident stunted her hands.
We attended the same Church in Bluff City and attended the same schools.
Wanda’s sense of humor was inherited from her father and appreciation for good food was due to her Mother’s culinary perfection.
Wanda was a faithful Christian. She always was reaching out to care for others. Her spirit was strong and her courage was ever present. She was love personified.
We prayed over the phone and said our goodbye while trusting in God’s promises of life ever after and thankful for our time together in this world.
May Wanda rest in peace. Amen and Alleluia!!
From,
Mitzi

I met Wanda at the University of Tennessee in 1958. Several years went by after that and we were not in touch but we did get to later in our lives by telephone and once with a mutual friend/roommate from West TN. It was the beginning of fun , wonderful times reminiscing about the old days. I already miss our chats as she was a special friend that I loved dearly.

Wanda was always the life of the party! She always welcomed us with open arms to stay with her and your Dad at the beach! There will be a big void in my heart! She was one of a kind and we will never forget her! The Tuckers ππβ€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ή

Wanda was my first friend in Florida. She was raised in Tennessee and I was raised in North Carolina. Having the same life experiences we got along well. We met each otherβs living parents, and siblings. There was very little we didnβt know about each other. We confided in each other always knowing the trust, love and respect. You knew some of her friends through introductions but many just in her story telling of them. She was such a compassionate woman who loved her family and friends dearly. I am so glad I was one of her many friends (like family). My grief of losing her is severe. I will love her always and she will be in my thoughts and prayers forever. Iβm certain she is with Garrison holding on to him.
