Wanda L. Shaffer Allen, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Trinity, FL. She was born November 12, 1941 in New Middletown, IN, the daughter of Chester Shaffer and Irene Love Hardy.
Wanda lived most of her life in Corydon, IN where she was the owner/operator of the Harrison County Fitness Center for many years. She was also involved in the bookkeeping of other family businesses. Wanda enjoyed the beach and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Terry had moved to Florida 28 years ago.
Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father Leo Hardy; and one brother Earl Wayne Shaffer.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Terry Lee Allen; 2 Daughters Missy Smith (Donald) and Kelly Thieneman (Don); grandchildren Brandy Enlow (Graham) and Justin Smith (Holly), Dalton (Hannah), Parker, Jackson, and Presley Thieneman; great-grandchildren Liberty, Grace, and Luke Enlow
Spencer, Tucker and Cami Smith; as well as aunt Ruby Love Melton
Preliminary arrangements are private per Wanda’s wishes. She was an extraordinarily humble person who exhibited love and compassion in all aspects of her life.

I love both of you and I am so sorry to hear of the loss your mom. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. She was like a second mother to my siblings and me when we were growing up. I pray that God will wrap you and your dad in his loving arms and comfort you in the coming days.

Wanda was like a little sister to my Mother. As a result, she was more like an aunt than a cousin to me. My deepest sympathy to Terry, Missy, Kelly and their family. I have great memories of Irene, Leo, Wanda and Terry at my Grandpa Love’s farm when I was a kid. She was always so gracious to me and my family. We will continue to hold the family in our prayers.

Terry, Missy, Kelly and your family’s, I am so very sorry to hear of Wanda’s passing. I really do know what your going through. With just loosing my husband Mike to Hodgkins Lymphoma in Aug. 2022. Terry’s father Andy Allen and my father Russell Allen were brothers . I have known Wanda for 62 years she was the same sweet person then as she was until she passed.
