Wayman Clifton Rains, 76, of New Port Richey, Fl., passed away in his home on January 9, 2020. After having a successful career in banking and finance, he chose to serve his community in the capacity of a Pasco County school bus driver. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Bubbles†by his students.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Rains and Thelma Rains Patillo, and his brothers, Leo and Gene Rains. He is survived by daughter Angela Farage (John), grandsons Nicholas Farage and Christopher Farage all of Lutz, FL; brother Robert Rains (Frances) of Hanahan, SC; sisters-in-law Bobbie Jean Rains of Charleston, SC and Candy Rains of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and six nieces and nephews.
Wayman was a lover of good blues, southern rock and beach music. In fact, during his young adult life, he could be found dancing to beach shag music on Folly Beach Pier. He was always a standout in a crowd because of his trademark Stetson straw hat.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th, at Dobie’s Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Florida, from 5-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in his honor.
