William Alfred Holmberg “Bill” 89 of Hudson. Former owner of an R.V. Tour Company passed away on February 13, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Carroll Ovington Holmberg and Virginia Mae (Davis) Holmberg.
Bill and Joyce were married 39 years and 25 of those years were spent guiding RV tours throughout old Mexico, Belize, Canada and the southwestern United States. Many of their customers became lifelong friends.
They were also very active members of the New Mexico Good Sam RV Organization, serving on the state staff for many years and serving as the State Director for 6 years. During this time, they traveled extensively attending over 100 Samborees throughout Canada and the U.S.
They also belonged to the Foretravel Motorcade Club where they became Directors leading Motorcades to Mexico, and traveling in Canada and the U.S. meeting and making friends all over.
Bill loved the adventure of travel and has now embarked on another great adventure. What wonders he will see.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Sickle Holmberg of Hudson; Son, Eugene William Holmberg and his wife, Maria of Tucson, AZ.; daughter, Shirley Mae Holmberg of Aztec, NM.; step-daughter, Kathleen Joyce McIntyre Chabler and her husband, Jeff, of Phoenix, AZ.; grandchildren, Jack JR., Carol, David, Don, Paul, William, Edwin, and Colin; great-grandchildren, Eve, Lily, and Emma.
