William “Joe” Apperson 78 of Hudson, Fl.

Joe Apperson went home to his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mardel “Mardy” Herrell Apperson and his faithful dog Morgan, also survived by four sisters, Peggy (Bob) Hobbs of IN, Marilyn Jackson of WI, Virginia Calabrese of IL and Katie (Richard) Glisson of KY.

Joe and Mardel were married in Metropolis, Il. in 1964 and began their life together in Melber, KY. He was called to serve his country in Thailand in 1966. After his discharge they returned to Kentucky where he worked for Ingersoll Rand Co. until he retired in 2000. Golf was his favorite pastime and Florida became their home in 2002. He spent many hours with his golfing buddies on the course and at his hobby repairing golf clubs.

He was predeceased by his parents Jewell Apperson and Anna L. Cruse Apperson and his brother Otis Apperson of Melber, KY.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Living Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, Port Richey, Fl.
