My sincere condolences to Bill’s family. Bill has been a friend and an older brother to me since our time serving in the Army many years ago. Bill,Jeff and myself were inseparable during our years at Ft. Eustis Virginia. He was always willing to help his comrades. He played a huge part in my military career which I could never repay. We continued to talk often even after our retirement and got together with our brother Jeff and sister Salena. He worked with a lot of fellow servicemen and women in the Warrior wellness program in Holiday Florida doing great things. I feel like I have lost a family member too soon but I know he is reunited with his wife Bonnie; another angel. Rest easy Bill until we all gather again.
They Chose You
You might wonder why-
Why was your friend chosen
To leave earth so soon?
They had so much left to do.
There is no clear answer.
So instead, remind yourself
That while they were still here,
They chose you.
You to be their confidant
Their very best friend
To share in life’s moments,
And to remember them in death.
They chose you!

Served with Bill before and during deployment to Fort Eustis 2003 to 2004. He was always kind to me and we worked well together. We both were elated when the Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. My condolences go out to his family and fellow soldiers we served with at Fort Eustis.
