Bill is my nephew. We lived a block from my sister Opal, Roy, Billy and Denny.

Billy and I played a lot together, and he was very competitive.

When we were quite young and adventurous we walked into Roy and Opal’s garage and noticed cross bucks in windows with no glass . Billy and I carefully assessed the situation. We decided that it would be easier for Roy to put in full glass…..so….we took baseball bats and knocked out all of the cross bucks. His mom walked out, observed our work, with anger, and sent Billy inside and said to me..”Young man…you go home!! I guess we should have left the windows to his dad. Our birthday’s were a day apart, June 5 and mine on the 6th. I will miss our annual BD calls. Billy was my mom and dad’s first grandchild.
