John Dwight Watson Sr., 52, born May 4, 1966; passed away at his home surrounded by family on November 20, 2018. He is survived by his wife Denise L. Watson; son’s John Dwight Watson Jr. and William Marshall Watson; mother Maryalice Sbarbaro Watson; brother Joseph L. Watson Jr.; sister’s Maryann Johnson and Gina M. Watson-Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Joseph Levi Watson Sr.
John served his community proudly as a Sergeant, Deputy Sheriff for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He concluded his career with nine years of service as the School Resource Officer at Hudson High School.
John was an active Master Mason in the Pearl of the West Masonry Lodge. Some of his passions that he was able to pursue and enjoy in retirement included shooting, golfing, fishing, and perhaps most important of all was spending time with his family.
Through his personality and consistent ethical standing, John was able to touch the lives of many from different walks of life and maintained a “larger than life” persona.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Pearl of the West Masonic Lodge #146. Checks can be made payable to “Pearl of the West Lodge” and mailed to P.O. Box #971 New Port Richey, FL 34653.

Dear Watson Family,

John was such a kind and giving man to all he met. His proudest accomplishments he told me was his family and being dad to his two boys and watching their success. I am so sorry God could not share him with all of us a little longer. John will be greatly missed.
