Alfred Pac (Freddy) age 91 resident of Holiday, Florida passed on December 3, 2020. He was born September 27, 1929 in Westfield, MA and attended Westfield schools graduating from Westfield Trade School in 1947.
Freddy joined the U.S. Navy in August 1947 retiring in June 1967 as a Radarman Master Chief Petty Officer. During his military career he served on the USS POWER DD-839, the USS TWEEDY DE-532, the USS GATLING DD-671, the USS CHAMPLAIN CVA-39, the USS BOXER LPH-4, the USS RANDOLPH CV-15, and the USS SANDOVAL APA-194. While serving on USS GATLING, he was forward deployed during the Korean War. He was the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Command at several of his duty stations, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
After retirement from the Navy, Freddy worked as a HVAC manager with the Unisys Company from 1983 until 1994.
Freddy is predeceased by his wife Opal (Johnie) Pac. They lived in Tarpon Springs, Florida where Freddy was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Clearwater, Florida. He served as an usher, on the Board of Elders, Board of Trustees and the Board of Evangelism, as well as directing facilities maintenance and repair.
Freddy enjoyed spending time on the golf course. He was an avid player and volunteered his time on professional and senior professional tournaments for 17 years.

Memorial Services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3166 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, Florida on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11am.

Memorial services and burial will also be held in Westfield, Mass at a later date.
