Amy was born and raised in Hamburg, New York.   On May 31st, 1947, she married Wayne Kipp and moved to Chetek, Wisconsin. They raised their family Brad, Ellen, Ross & Shawn on a beautiful lake in Chetek where they owned a summer resort for many years. Amy was a member of Daughters of the Eastern Star and Legion Auxiliary post 179 in Chetek. Wayne was a veteran and member of the Legion.  For over twenty years both were part of the Legion’s Memorial Day remembrance program.

The fall of 1972 they started a new chapter in their life by moving to Tarpon Springs, Florida to be closer to her parents and other relatives. She continued her career in healthcare by working in the Medical Records department at Tarpon Springs Hospital.

Before and after retirement she was active. Amy was a proud member of the Tarpon Singers for 40 years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary post 173 Holiday, Florida, member of Sisters on the Fly camping club and Longtime member Eucharistic minister for All Saints Episcopal in Tarpon Springs since 1972.

This past August she moved to Sunshine Christian Retirement home in Holiday Florida. She enjoyed her short time there. All the staff and caregivers were so kind and friendly.

March 9th “Grandma Amy” (that was the name all generations in the family called her.) celebrated her100th birthday surrounded by many family and friends. Some traveled well over 1000 miles to share the joy.

Shortly after her birthday The Lord called for her to join her mom, dad, siblings and Wayne. We comforted her and told her, “It was Ok to go and we will miss you.”  She passed peacefully at Sunshine Christian Home with her family at her side.

She will be remembered for her Kindness, Faith, Endearing Laugh, and LOVE of family.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday March 28th 10:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church in Tarpon Springs. Memorials or donations can be made to Sunshine Christian Home and All Saints Endowment fund.
