Angeliki “Koula” (Pitsilos) Metaxas is survived by her beloved husband, co-adventurer, partner in mischief, and best possible friend, Athanasios “Tom” Metaxas; their beloved children and children-in-law, Lia Metaxas Imhoff and her husband Marc of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Theodore Metaxas and his wife Karen Cournoyer of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut; and their beautiful granddaughter Athena Mariah Metaxas. Mrs. Metaxas is also survived by her brother Anthony Pitsilos and wife Helen, her niece Penelope Pitsilos Normoyle and her husband Eugene , and their daughter Kristin, all of Newburgh, New York.

Mrs. Metaxas was pre-deceased by her sister Maria Bourelos Kotsarides, but is survived by her niece Jeanie Bourelos Tsakonas and her husband Alex, their children Maria and Christopher, and Mrs. Metaxas’ nephew, Theodore Bourelos.

Mrs. Metaxas was also blessed with a large and loving circle of friends and extended relatives for whom the entire Metaxas/Pitsilos family remain forever grateful. The world is a little less bright now that she is no longer in it.
