Anne Morocco

July 27, 1928~January 20, 2021

A mother to four, grandmother to eight and great grandmother to six, soon to be seven. She was the most caring, dedicated, selfless and supportive person who always expressed unconditional love to her family, friends and church members. The Lord, her faith and her loved ones filled her heart and brought her purpose. She was generously there for everyone, put the happiness of others first, was interested in every thing you shared with her and kept you in her prayers in times of need. She went above and beyond for others without expecting anything in return. Her commonly used phrase was “I don’t stand on ceremony.” She was grateful for every visit or phone call, without judgement regardless of the amount of time that passed in between. She was a best friend to her children and husband but always maintained her boss, matriarch status to keep them in line. Her tough love didn’t stop with her children, but also with the grand kids, although she equaled it by showering them with junk food. Anne created a home where everyone felt safe, loved, relaxed, welcomed and of course, you never left hungry. Any guest in her home was constantly being offered whatever she had in the house, whether it be hot chocolate, breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts or coffee. Anne’s selflessness showed especially during the ten years that she cared for her ill husband up until his passing. Defying all odds, she survived a non repairable brain aneurysm through faith, her can-do attitude and perseverance. With her enduring strength, she forged forward each day in spite of the never ending pain and diminished physical ability due to osteoporosis. No matter how large the cross she carried became, she accepted the Lord’s plan for her with grace and prayed for those less fortunate than her. Despite her age and health challenges throughout life, her memory remained sharp, never forgetting special occasions and always checking in with her loved ones. She was beautiful inside and out, took pride in herself and family and brought joy to everywhere she went. It is heart warming to speak to those in her life as they all express how blessed they felt to have known her and how much she helped them through their trials and tribulations. She lived a beautiful, strong life for 92 years and will always be loved infinitely. Although she will be deeply missed here on Earth, we can all rest easy knowing she has found peace with God and her husband, watching over all of us until we meet again.

Anne cherished being a part of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church and greatly appreciated the spiritual enrichment, love and support she received. Most importantly, she cherished the wonderful relationships she developed with her fellow parishioners, priests and Caritas Ministry members. The Morocco family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the priests of St. Ignatius Church and those involved with the Caritas Ministry, especially Lauranne, Yvonne, Laura, Connie and Jean. God Bless you all!

In lieu of the flowers donations can be made in honor of Anne Morocco to St. Ignatius RC Church Caritas in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
