Bette Evans Blackwell, 84, of New Port Richey went to her heavenly home on August 3, 2020. Bette was pre-deceased by her parents, Henry Evans and Connie Conahan, her husband Robert D. Blackwell and sister Jeanne Widen.
Bette is survived by 3 daughters Nancy (Carroll) Carson of Townville, SC, Kim Smith of Hudson, Deana (Doug) Van Etten of New Port Richey, 5 grandchildren Jenna Manning, Bobby Bowman, Trey Godfrey, Katie Hahnel, Lindsay Van Etten and 7 great grandchildren.
Bette was a retired podiatric assistant and was of the Methodist faith.
Bette had an infectious smile and loved her family dearly. She was an avid square and round dancer for over 40 years. In addition to her passion for dancing she loved, music, reading, cards and games, photography and travel.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gulfside Hospice.

Am having difficulty in choosing words to express the depth of our sorrow on the loss of a lady who was a major part of our lives for almost 60 years. We are grateful for those years of unfailing friendship, loyalty, and mostly love. Even in her darkest times, she could and would say, “I love you.” What better legacy than that? Deana, Kim, and Nancy, you all know that to be true. Gone, but never forgotten. We love you still.
