Bonnie G. Hoyt passed away at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born on November 9, 1945 in Ithaca, New York, to Kathleen and Hugh Galt.  Bonnie was predeceased by her father (Hugh) and brother (John). She is survived by her husband of 54 years Bob Hoyt; children Tom (Jennifer) Hoyt of Duncan, SC, and Alison (Nate) Hamblin of Monroe, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nick, Molly (Jesse), and Patrick, all of Duncan, SC. Bonnie is also survived by her mother, Kathleen Galt of New Port Richey, FL; sister Patty (Chris) Carnell of Ithaca, NY; as well as many other family and friends.

Bonnie was born and raised in Ithaca, NY, where she graduated from Ithaca High School.  Bonnie enjoyed a long career with New York State Electric & Gas.  Upon retirement, Bonnie and Bob moved to Odessa, FL, where they resided at the Silver Dollar Golf and Gun Club.  Bonnie’s retirement consisted of golf and good times with many close friends that were made at the Silver Dollar.

There will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Silver Dollar Golf Club clubhouse on Thursday, November 16th from 6-9pm when friends from the Silver Dollar have returned for the winter season.
