Thank you daddy for flourishing me with love. You have been such a great Man in my life that I have always looked up to. The void you left me in my heart can’t be filled by anyone but I will hold on to the lovely memories we had together. Even though you are not with us on earth, your presence can still be felt. I miss you so much. Till we meet again in heaven. I love you deeply. Mistie

Uncle Charlie, I will always remember your smile and the happiness I experienced in sharing memories with you about out grand family. Those memories have become more important as I have grown older. My first pair of jeans were those you left behind. I found the in a drawer in the back bedroom at Ridge Ave. Grandmother said, “if they fit, wear’em.” They were well worn, faded, and the best fitting jeans I have ever had. I was 14 years old. I was so proud of my pants and I told everybody, “These are my Uncle Charlie’s jeans.” You are in my heart forever. Love, Little Billy

I loved to call Uncle Charlie “the baby,” since he was the youngest of 6 children. He always laughed at that. What a wonderful, compassionate and loving person. I still have the letter that Uncle Charlie wrote me when I graduated from high school 40 years ago. It meant so
much to me because I had shared with him my plans for the future, and he was so positive and encouraging. He’ll be dearly missed by all of us who loved him. I look forward to seeing him again.

Uncle Charlie was such a blessing to our family and to anyone who knew him. I have so many fond memories of times spent as a kid with all my cousins, Aunts & Uncles at family gatherings in Savannah, Shipyard and at Uncle Charlie's house in Florida. Our love and prayers are with Nancy, Mistie, Al, Derek, Alyssa and all his family. Take comfort that he is now at home in heaven our Lord & Savior & with his parents and siblings.
