Clyde Norman Krohn of New Port Richey, FL, passed from this life on June 27, 2026, at age 89.

Clyde was born July 9, 1936, in Wilmington, DE to Richard and Nellie (Blanchard) Krohn.  He was raised in Detroit, MI.

At age 18, Clyde joined the United States Army and proudly served for four years.  His military service was a formative chapter in his life.  He traveled Europe extensively while stationed in Germany. Two months after he returned home, he met Katie, his wife of 67 years, the love of his life. They welcomed three children, Kelly (David), Mark and Denise (Bill), four grandchildren, Zachary, Danielle, Erin and Emily and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was a loving, devoted, patient husband, father, grandfather and friend.

For many years he enjoyed time spent at his cabin in Kalkaska, MI, hunting, fishing, boating, picking blueberries and cherries and evenings at the fire pit.

Clyde retired from the printing trade and in 1999 he and Katie moved to FL. He served on the H.O.A. board for four years. He then became an active member of the “Toy Makers of New Port Richey” for the next 23 years. He immensely enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship of fellow volunteers.

Clyde was known for his gentle ways, simple acts of kindness, loyalty and making happy memories. He was just that kind of guy. One of a kind.
