Cody Austin Botts, 31, passed away on August 11, 2026, after a life that, although far too short, was filled with love, laughter, family, friendship, and countless memories.

Cody was a kind, loving, vibrant soul who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a devoted father, loving partner, son, brother, uncle, and true friend. Cody had a personality that could light up a room, and his laughter and unique sense of humor brought joy wherever he went.

Above all else, Cody loved his family deeply. He shared an incredible bond with his son, Oliver Botts, who was one of the greatest loves of his life. Cody was so proud to be Oliver’s father, and the love he had for his son was unmistakable.

Cody also shared a special love with his Ol’ Lady, Shawna Dolzonek. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, memories, and the everyday moments that made their relationship uniquely theirs. Shawna was an important part of Cody’s life and his journey, and the love they shared will always remain a part of his story.

Cody is survived by his beloved son, Oliver Botts; his Ol’ Lady, Shawna Dolzonek; his father, Chris Sowell; his mother, Virginia Botts; his stepfather, Joe Lynch; his brother, David Sowell; and his stepsister, Dawn Lynch.

Cody was preceded in death by many beloved family members who we know welcomed him with open arms into Heaven.

His life can be remembered through the Dash—the years between the day he was born and the day he was called home. That Dash represents every person he loved, every friendship he made, every laugh he shared, every memory he created, and every life he touched.

He will be deeply missed—not just today, but for eternity.🕊️
