Dan was the best boss I’ve ever had, great friend, and all-around good person. I know he fought for as long as he could for his family. The world could use a lot more people like Dan. I will miss him dearly.

I loved you so very much, cousin Danny. As a child, into young adulthood, we were best friends, and I considered you and my cousin Walter (Cicalese) DePietro two people who were the boys I could trust implicitly.

Of course, geography separated us all of our adult lives. But if only I knew 35 years ago what I know now, I would have made an effort to get on a plane and fly down to Florida and find you and visit you and hug you hard. But it doesn’t mean you weren’t always connected in our hearts!

Although we lived our own lives as adults, and unfortunately so far apart from each other, we will always be connected as cousins.

When I learned of your passing, I had no control over my tears. You were always a very special person in my life. Some of my best memories growing up were with you in my life, as were all my other cousins, both Lauria cousins and my Cicalese cousins.

I will always miss you. I wish I had so so many more years of time with you.

I love you, and I will see you again, because I know we live on. All of us cousins and grandma and grandpa will be united again with all our loving aunts and uncles. I missed your dad for many years, and now I know someday we will be united.

Please keep us in your prayers in heaven, and know we are praying for you down earth.
