Darrell J. Miller, 81, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where he had been receiving medical care for the last six months of his life.  Darrell was born on August 2, 1944, in Flora, Indiana to John and Vernabelle Miller.  He graduated in the inaugural graduating class of Caroll High School and then attended Indiana University.  He married Kathyrn Sexton on June 29, 1968 and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana until 1977 until they moved to Tampa, Florida.  Together they raised two children and had three grandsons, whom he delighted in spending time with and talking to on the phone.  Darrell had worked in sales and sales management for a variety of companies that provided food and supplies to wholesalers in the restaurant industry.  Darrell loved his family, Indiana University basketball and watching the Indy 500.

He was preceded in death by his parents, loving grandparents, his sister Cheryl Young, and his grandson Scott Miller.  Darrell is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Kathyrn, their two children, Michael Miller (Nicole) and Stephanie Lee (James) and two grandsons Colin Miller and Tyler Lee.  The family held a memorial service for Darrell on July 5^th, at the Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, 3501 W. San Jose Street, Tampa, Florida 33629.
