I started working back in 1973 at United Telecom, later to become Sprint, when I believe David Jay was ahead of the Corporate Print Center at 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway. That was when I started there as a File clerk, I think they called it. Not sure when David started work there though. He was not my boss but was good friends with my boss, Art Morton. There were a couple other guys that all seemed to be really good friends back in those days that worked in the same general area of our building. Seems to me they pulled pranks on each other and had lots of laughs. I remember their laughter and smiles. They enjoyed their work experiences and made it fun for those around them. I also got acquainted with Carolyn Jackson, at the time, later in her life to be Carolyn Jay. Seems like she & I did some car-pooling back then. Maybe she can remember better than I. Maybe we played Volleyball also. I kept those crazy orange shorts for the longest time. My Sympathy goes out especially to Carolyn at this time and David and her family also. I enjoyed sharing the memories I have of the both of them.
