Dennis John “Red” Stefanick Sr. of New Port Richey, Fl. Formerly of Perth Amboy, NJ

Passed away on April 20, 2026 at 11:55pm  with his Family by his side. He was 80 years old.

He was born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ and resided there for 59 years before moving to Sayreville, NJ in 1998 for seven years then to New Port Richey , FL in 2005.

Mr. Stefanick was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam war, He is a member of the American Legion Paradise Post 79 in New Port Richey, FL. He is a life member of the disabled American Veterans John McCarthy Chapel  #4, New Port Richey, FL

He retired from Eco Labs in Avenel, NJ  after 32 years as a lift truck operator/ receiving clerk.

Mr. Stefanick was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for 38 years in Perth Amboy where he served as fire chief from 1996 to 1999. He was also past president of the Washington engine company #2,  member of the Perth Amboy Exempt Association and  Life member of the New Jersey volunteer fire chief Association, He is a past master of Saint Stephens Masonic Lodge no. 63 F&A.M. South Amboy, NJ he is a life member of the ancient accepted Scottish right north New Jersey, life member of the Crescent shrine Temple West Hampton, NJ. Dennis is  predeceased by his parents Steve & Dagmar Stefanick of Holiday, FL.

Dennis is  survived by his wife Marjorie of 59 years; daughter  Donna Savoia from Fords, NJ; son Dennis Stefanick from Perth Amboy NJ; sister Beverly English of Kernville, NC;  four grandchildren Dennis Stefanick III and Wife Brittany from Suffolk, VA, Kevin Savoia Jr.  from Sewaren,NJ, Kyle Savoia from Spotswood, NJ, Kelsey Savoia from Fords, NJ; and three great grandchildren, Payton Jade Savoia, Kevin Lee Savoia III  from Sewaren, NJ, and Kyle Lucas Savoia Jr. from Spotswood, NJ.

Funeral service private cremation.  Burial to be held May 18,2026 @ 11:00am at Florida National Cemetery.
