Stemmermann, Denyse A. (Denny) passed away peacefully October 22, 2018 in Largo, FL at age 82. A faithful Roman Catholic, she leaves a legacy of love and laughter to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Murphy Grennan; her father, John J. Grennan; her step-mother, Mary Sullivan Grennan; brothers, John J. Grennan Jr. (Valerie), Barry Grennan (Sheila) and her beloved husband, Robert J. (Bob) Stemmermann. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Pfost (John) of Tampa, and Karen Larsen of Dunedin (Robert); nine loving grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Surviving also are her brothers, Thomas Grennan (Kathy), Gerald Grennan (Patti) and her sisters, JoAnn Wallwork, Carole Sheely (Steve), MaryAnn Davis (Randy), Susan Wolfrey (John), Janet Brown (Philip) and many fond nieces and nephews. Born in Milton, MA, Denny grew up in Plandome, NY surrounded by her large, loving Irish family. She graduated from Manhasset High School where she formed life-long friendships including the most important one of her life, with the man who would become her husband, Bob. After she graduated from Marymount College they became “Bob and Denny”, spending the next 53 wonderful years together enjoying every single thing life had to offer in Tampa, FL., Millbrook, NY., and Sarasota, FL. and elsewhere. She relished her role as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and “Aunt Denny”. Her exuberant and infectious personality and lifelong affection for family leaves its mark on all who loved her. She was loved, she will be missed, she will be remembered.
