Donald “Don” Joseph Nystrom, age 87 of Port Richey, Florida passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 02, 2024.

Don was the loving husband of the late Grace Ann Nystrom (nee Doyle). He is survived by his two sons, Donald Nystrom of New Port Richey, Florida, and Frank Nystrom of Hudson, Florida; daughter-in-law Elicia Nystrom; granddaughter Samantha Garcia and her husband Matthew Garcia of Orlando, Florida; sister Mary Funke and her husband Michael Funke of Chicago, Illinois.

Don served 4 years active duty in the United States Air Force and 4 years inactive duty training. He was an electronic technician, in addition to truly being a jack of all trades (there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix). In his younger days he rode motorcycles and was an avid scuba diver. He had many hobbies like, boating, fishing, reading, and tinkering with electronics. But his favorite life-long hobby was Amateur Radio and being an active member of his ham radio club. His life experience included many adventures.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and will be remembered as a great conversationalist who always enjoyed learning new ideas.
