To the family of Dottie Fields:
I was very saddened to learn of Dottie's passing. She was a wonderful person. I was lucky to get to know Dottie through LLS. My husband, Dan, passed away this past December from leukemia. Dottie, Dan and I had numerous conversations at so many LLS events and we always enjoyed each others company. She and Dan shared their upbeat spirit and positive attitudes with so many other people going through similar circumstances. I know that Dan must have been at the gates of heaven to greet Dottie with a big hug and smile. My heart goes out to Dottie's family at this time. I feel your pain and will pray for all of you. I apologize for not being able to attend the memorial service. I live in Venice and the distance is a little too much for me to be able to travel there. My thoughts will be with you.
