ERMA JEAN “Lantz” CLAYMAN, 78, wife of Robert Neil Clayman, a resident of Tarpon Springs, FL, departed this life Friday Afternoon, November 22nd at her home in Tarpon Springs, FL. She was born, November 27, 1945 in Independence, WV., a daughter of the late Thomas Huff Lantz and Reda Blanche “Buraker” Lantz. On June 27, 1999 in Lake Worth FL, she was married to Robert N Clayman. Surviving is her Husband, Robert N Clayman of Tarpon Springs, FL, One Daughter; Susan “Chenoweth” Paradise of Shallotte NC.; three sons; Patrick Chenoweth and wife Rose of Middletown VA., Kenneth Jackson and wife Maria of Tarpon Springs FL, Scott Jackson and wife Tammy of Okeechobee FL., fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are brothers, Dickie, Tom and Jim Lantz and 3 sisters Marlene “Lantz” Ambrose and twins Reva “Lantz” Nesbitt and JoAnn “Lantz” Watring.
She earned her Nursing degree at Central Piedmont Community College in 1984.
Jean and Robert shared a beautiful marriage together that was filled with love and compassion. Robert loved her dearly and he said that Jean brought life to his life. Jean loved her family dearly, she was the Matriarch of the family and was always there for them. She loved people and always welcomed everyone with a loving heart. She was the biggest supporter of the family band that plays every year at the family reunion and she officially named them “The Lantz Family Bubba Band”.
According to her wishes, Jean will be cremated and her ashes will be spread in the Gulf of Mexico at a later date. Jean did not like the cold weather and to quote her last wish; “It has to be warm when you spread my ashes as I do not like the cold”.
