Frank “Chuck” Schumann, of Hudson, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026, at the age of 75.

Chuck was a proud graduate of Bound Brook High School, Class of 1968, where he was honored as the recipient of the BBHS Mayor’s Trophy. He remained proud of his hometown roots and cherished the lifelong friendships he made throughout the years. In 2025, he was recognized as the Bound Brook Gold Member of the Year, a testament to his continued connection and contributions to his alumni community. Chuck was a proud Gator and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Science and Math.

Chuck dedicated over three decades to teaching and will be remembered for his brilliant mathematical mind, his love of hunting, and the stories and endless jokes he loved to share. He had a quick wit, a generous heart, and a knack for making people laugh. Chuck left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Schumann. He is survived by his significant other, Laurayne Dola; his sister, Bonnie Books; his nephew, Chris Lewis and his wife, Kimberly Lewis; his grandnephew, Andrew Lewis, his grandniece, Kayla Lewis Ortiz and her husband, Vincent Ortiz; and great grandnieces Winona, Mabel, and Farrah Ortiz; and nephew Matthew Books and his wife, Sarah; grandnephews Maxwell Books and Kaleb Brogden; and grandniece Onyx Brogden all of Spring Hill, Florida.

Chuck proudly served his country in the army and will have a service with military honors on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Family and friends are asked to arrive between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Chuck’s legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired and the wisdom he shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
