It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gary Edward Wiese on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Born on December 26, 1980, Gary faced life with quiet strength and resilience. He battled diabetes throughout his life and chronic kidney issues in recent years, yet he never lost his humor, warmth, or love for those around him.
Gary attended Gulf High School in New Port Richey and earned his Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College. He was an avid sports fan and a proud supporter of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Buccaneers, Rays, and USF Bulls.
He is survived by his sisters, Cassie Drachenberg (Terry) of New Port Richey, FL, and Amy Hall (Chris) of Savannah, TX; his beloved nephew, Trevor; and nieces, Kaitlyn and Allison. Gary now joins his parents in heaven, free from pain and struggle.
In lieu of flowers or other condolence items, donations may be made in Gary’s honor to the Lightning Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, or SPCA Suncoast — causes close to his heart.
Gary’s love for family, quick wit, and enduring spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him. Though he is gone too soon, his memory will forever be a blessing.
