Gaylyn Porter Brown Sr., 83, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Spring Hill, FL. Gaylyn was born May 5, 1934 to Ervin Elmer and Myra Brown in Sweetwater, TX. He was one of nine children.
Gaylyn proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1974 as an Avionics Technician. Retiring with an Honorable discharge after 20 years of service as an E-7/MSgt. He worked on bomber planes like the B52 Stratofortress. During his time at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida he met his beautiful, loving wife Mary Casanova. After retiring he settled in Spring Hill Florida and started a family tractor service business with his son. He enjoyed work, gardening and had a deep love of animals.
Gaylyn was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Casanova Brown. Survived by daughter – Tammy Marie Sammons, Husband J.C. Sammons, Jr., son Gaylyn P. Brown, Jr., Wife Dawn Brown and daughter – Misty Brown, grandchildren, Cody Sammons, wife Amanda Sammons – Corey Brown – Chelsea Sammons – Victoria Alcaide, husband Alex Alcaide and sister, Elizabeth Simpson – brother, Richard Brown.
