James (Jim) Cummings, 72, passed away October 5, 2020, in Tampa, Florida. Jim was born June 11, 1948 in Seattle, Washington to Chester and Simone Cummings. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1966 and attended post secondary schools in Washington.

Jim was creative, funny, deeply loving and brave. He was an amazing craftsman, avid outdoorsman, chef. Nothing made him more content than sharing his passions with others and making new friends.

After retirement he spent many years motorcycling around the United States and enjoyed many travels with his wife. In January 2020, Jim told family that he began to read the Bible his dad carried during WWII and found out the deep love of the Lord for him. From then on he wanted to share that love, and while he fought for life intensely, he knew he was going to his Lord and Savior. His faith never faltered and he never quit.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sheryl and his favorite dog Jackson; he was the proud father of son Jason (Vanessa) and grandson Wolfgang; daughter Jillian and granddog Sadie; son Jacob and grandson Austin; son Joshua and grandsons Samuel and Noah; and cousins, nieces and nephews. He also left countless friends, and he is greatly loved and missed.
