James Livingston Hewett, 85, of Shallotte, North Carolina, and Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away on December 1st, 2025.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life Emma in 2009; his parents Jack and Eunice Hewett; brother Marion (Blondie) Hewett; and sister Frances Russell.

He is survived by his brother Billy (Carylon) Hewett; daughters Pamela Hewett and Jamie Ramsey; son Allen (Dori) Hewett; grandchildren Erica Ramsey, Holly (Cameron) Lones, Candice Hewett and Allen James (AJ) Hewett; as well as many precious nieces and nephews.

At his request, the family will hold a private gathering in his memory.
