Joanne R. Rinaldi passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Charles Rinaldi. Joanne was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School of Toledo, Ohio where she grew up in the North End. She was at least a 30 year employee of the Federal Government both in Toledo, Ohio and then retiring from the Federal Probation office of Cleveland, Ohio.
Joanne is preceded in death by her husband in June of 2021, her parents Abraham and Sarah Sodd, her siblings, Elizabeth (Ed) Boger, William Sodd, Ellis (Delphine) Sodd, Mildred (Thomas) Bland and Sr. Maria Goretti O.S.F. She is survived by her sister Caroline Bukovics and her brother Dr. Vincent Sodd. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews along with their children.
Joanne has spent the last 4 years enjoying the warm weather and amenities of living in New Port Richey Florida especially after the passing of her husband. Therefore, a funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:00 am in her parish church of St. Thomas Aquinas 8320 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, Florida 34653. There will be a graveside prayer service on September 29, 2026 at 11:00 am in Holy Cross Cemetery, St. Jude Mausoleum, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, Ohio 44142. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, Sylvania, Ohio, St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or any charity of your choice in Joanne’s name.

Our Aunt, my God mother. We enjoyed times together and are at a loss. So glad we helped Aunt Joanne get to enjoy 4 years in Fla. She got to meet many of our friends at Lake Region Village. We have so many fond memories of Aunt Joanne. Her love and kindness lives on in our hearts

Nancy and I were lucky enough to also hang out with Aunt Joanne on a couple excersions one was the trip to the botanical garden it was fun I was wore out from walking yet she just wanted to keep going and going we both will miss her we enjoyed many meals here at the house especially during the holidays

Was very lucky with my move to North Royalton in 2010 to have Joanne and Chuck as my next door neighbors!
Joanne was always such a pleasure to talk to and Chuck was a hoot in always being silly and making my little niece and I laugh.
Chuck and Joanne always had fun casino stories to share which I of course loved hearing.
Joanne and I grew a little closer as I tried to help her out some with all she did in taking care of Chuck before he passed. I missed her a lot when she moved to Florida but we kept in touch via phone calls now and then and was pleased to hear she was thoroughly enjoying herself in her new home!
Will always remember Joanne as I truly admired her as a strong and courageous and very smart woman.
Rest in peace my dear friend! 💕

Joanne was a very special woman. She will be missed. We loved her and always cherish the times we had with her. Aunt Elizabeth was waiting for her with open arms. They both at peace and living in the shine of a heavenly light of the Almighty. God is certainly embracing them.
