With heavy hearts, we share the passing of John Andrew Spicuglia on May 18, 2026. A devoted husband, father, and friend, he leaves a void that can only be filled by the love, memories, and wisdom he shared so generously with those blessed to know him.

Early Life and Marriage
John Andrew Spicuglia was born on October 31, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, the cherished only child of Andrew and Charlene Spicuglia. His life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Carol M. Spicuglia, in Seattle, Washington. Drawn together by deep affection and an unshakeable bond, John and Carol eloped and were married on May 29, 1964, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Their union became the cornerstone of more than sixty years of steadfast love, partnership, and devotion.

Family
John is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol M. Spicuglia; his son, John C. Spicuglia; and his daughter‑in‑law, Melinda Stephens-Spicuglia. His family was his greatest joy and the guiding force in everything he did.

Service to Country and Community
John proudly served in the United States Air Force, beginning a lifelong commitment to service and duty. Following his military service, he continued to give back to his community as the owner and operator of Pasco Security and Detective Agency and Pasco Realty, Inc.

He also served with dedication in several public safety and community roles, including the Clearwater Police Department, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Pasco Mosquito Control, and the University of South Florida Police Department. In each role, John was known for his integrity, professionalism, and willingness to help others.

Interests and Passions
Away from work, John found peace and happiness on the water. He was an avid fisherman, always eager for the quiet thrill of a day spent casting a line. He also loved traveling, embracing new places and experiences with curiosity, appreciation, and a sense of adventure.

A Lasting Legacy
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and strength. His legacy of character, service, and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
