A revised obituary because the above missed a few things…

Judy Lynn Demko, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, formerly of Dearborn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 at the age of 68.

Born and raised in Dearborn, Judy enjoyed a successful career with Ford Motor Company before retiring to Florida, where she embraced every day with joy and gratitude. She loved bike riding, trips to Cocoa Beach, and returning home each year to Michigan to spend treasured time with family and friends. Judy also gave back to her community through volunteering and was known for her adventurous spirit, kindness, and the way she lived life to its fullest.

Judy is survived by her loving significant other, John Wieczorek; her brother, Barry (Kathy) Demko; her nieces, Candis Demko and Tiffany (Joseph) Troutt; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and John Demko; her nephew, Brandon Demko; and Donald Schaefer, her mother’s devoted partner of many years.

Those who knew Judy will remember her warmth, her laughter, and her ability to light up every room she entered. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and joyful memories that will be cherished forever.

It’s been a month since Judy died and I’m trying to comprehend what happened. I can’t believe that God needed to take her while she still had so much good to do on earth. I do thank Him for not allowing her to suffer as she died in her sleep. I’ll always have the memories to console me and I thank God for allowing her in my life. She was the kindest most generous person I ever knew. Bless you Judy and I love you forever.

Judy always told me I was the sister she never had. I have wonderful memories of her that will always be in my heart. We went on trips together to Branson, Missouri, to Mackinac Island to Pennsylvania and she included me in all the plans and events. Travels with Judy were fun and eventful she wanted to do something or go somewhere always on the go. Since she was such an avid reader, she took me to the library to get a card so I could start reading again. Judy had the best hugs, and we cried when we had to say goodbye. May you soar with the angels my dear sister. I Love you.
