Julia was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was a zebra graduate from New Brunswick High School. She was a former Grand Union employee in high school until she had her first son. She worked at Rutgers University as a secretary. When moving to Florida in 1990 she worked as a crossing guard for Pasco County.

Julia enjoyed reading books, bowling as well as sewing her children's Halloween costumes and needle point. Loved spending time with children and grandchildren, playing games,reading, hosting family game nights, talking with friends.

Julia was predeceased by her mother Hope Carr Mayle Rupinski; father Calvin B Mayle; husbands Thomas Trupiano, Joseph Ulman Jr.; brother Calvin B, Donald E, and Robert C Mayle.

Survived by her children Jameson Trupiano, Marc (Jessica) Ulman, and Kari-Ann(Harrison) Ulman,James; grandchildren Wyatt, Luna, and Temerance. Her aunt Emma and uncle George Werner; sister Stelsa and brother-in-law Rich Hermann; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; close friends Mickey Torres, and Toni Conover.
