May 30, 1927~June 05, 2020

In the early morning of June 5, 2020, Leo Charles Kash, “Pop,” finished his work on Earth. Leo celebrated his 93rd birthday on May 30 and his wedding anniversary on June 2.

A true American patriot who loved God, his family, and his country, Leo served in the NAVY and patrolled the streets of New York as an officer for the NYPD.

Leo dedicated every ounce of his being to his family, from caring for his late wife until her very last breath, guiding his 5 children through the storms of life, to sharing stories of his years in Brooklyn with his grandchildren.

Leo's legacy lives on through his daughters, Mary Vitaglian, Patricia Hays, and Dorothy Brunnhoelzl, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He danced into the angelic arms of his late wife, Louise Kash, and son and daughter, Leo Kash and Genevieve Bradley.

Uncle Leo will be dearly missed. Although, as my cousin John said, he will be with many wonderful people who went before him – including Aunt Louise and my Dad, Donald. We’ll remember the Christmas cards he always sent and getting a share of the Florida oranges from the holiday gift he’d send my parents – even after my father passed. I remember at Aunt Louise’s funeral, he took my mom, dad and me into the room with all the caskets for sale to show my mom one with the Virgen de Guadalupe on it because he thought she’’d like it! Humor even during a time of such great loss. God bless Uncle Leo and family. Our family.
