Leonice Stagliano

September 09, 1952~November 07, 2018

Mrs. Leonice “Lee” Stagliano, wife of Joseph Stagliano and daughter of the late James and Helen McKinley, was born September 9, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts. She quietly departed this life on November 7, 2018 at home surrounded by her husband and children.

Love and family sustained Lee. After graduating from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1970, she married her best friend and childhood sweetheart. They celebrated their 48th anniversary this summer and the marriage was blessed with three children and six grandchildren. After raising her children, Lee returned to school to become a registered nurse and found her calling with Hospice where she would provide care to patients and families in their time of need. This was an ideal fit for Lee, as simply being in her presence made everything, even death, somehow better.

Lee’s endless love and positive spirit will forever influence and remain in the lives of all who knew her, including her children: Lisa (Jay) Schiappa of Roswell, GA, Michael (Heather) Stagliano of North Potomac, MD, Mary (Jeremy) Jackson of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Hayley, Mia, Mariella, John, Camilla, and Sam; brother, Steve (Pat) McKinley of Shrewsberry, MA, sister, Anne (Jay) Woodman of Westborough, MA, sister, Karen Kendrick of Clifford, MA, sister, Natalie (Jim) Bruce of Northboro, MA; sister-in-law Susan (Mike) Starnes of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, brother-in-law, Steve (Karen) Stagliano of Bel Air, FL; mother-in-law Susan (Salvatore) Stagliano of Hudson, FL; cousin Paul Zappula of Hudson, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Her parents, two brothers, John and Grady McKinley, her nephew, Matthew Bruce, and her father-in-law, Salvatore Stagliano, preceded Lee in death.
