Liana Michele Bowman, age 45, born September 24th, 1979, received her angel wings on June 18th, 2025 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her daughter Madison, Mother Michele Thornton/Wyatt Meyer; Son John; Father John/Claudia Isselhardt; Brother Michael/Tiffany Isselhardt; Sister Teresa/Gary Levengood; Nephew Callan, as well as several cousins and many caring friends.
She graduated from Columbus High School in 1998 from Columbus, GA. She continued her education at LaGrange College receiving her AS in criminal justice, and her BS in psychology in 2002. She played softball during her college years and belonged to KD Sorority.
She was passionate about the work she was blessed to do while working as a case manager with Family Continuity, child protection investigator with the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office and State of Florida DCF adult protection investigator, supervisor and trainer.
Liana absolutely loved being a mom to Madison . They made so many memories by going to beaches, sunsets, concerts, traveling or just sitting on the couch with funny conversations and great laughs.
Liana’s Tribe was and still is so very supportive, and she was most grateful to each and every one of them!
Her Celebration of Life is being held on August 3rd, 2025, at 6:00 pm located at Dunedin Cause Way Beach, Dunedin, Florida.

Dear Michele, Madison, family & friends of Liana (aka Liana’s Tribe): Please accept my deepest sympathy & most sincere condolences upon the loss of dear Liana. I did not know her well but every time I got to spend time with her when she visited her Mom (my neighbor Michele), Liana was a most captivating, fun, full of life person. She bravely fought her long hard cancer battle & was truly an inspiration to all. I regret that I will be traveling & unable to attend her Celebration of Life on 03 August but know I shall be there in Spirit. God bless you All! Barbara Chorba

To all of Liana’s loved ones, I realize there are no words to truly offer you comfort at this time. But as I once told Liana, love never dies. That lives on in our hearts. And there comes a time when the tears of grief are replaced by the memories that brought you joy. I had the honor of being Liana’s secretary in APS. Her commitment to her work family was as strong as her work for the most vulnerable among us. Liana showed compassion to all of us, no matter how difficult the tasks before her were. And her laughter was completely contagious. It was a bright spot in our day. What she has given to the world matters. Like a pebble in a pond, it grows. May her compassion for those in need continue on by those of us who remain. My love goes out to each of you. May you find strength and healing within your hearts. May you have the support from others to do so.
