Loren Myers, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of deep faith, passed away April 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength.

Born on January 23, 1948, to Howard Myers, who preceded him in death, and Dorthy Gillis.

On January 9, 1971, Loren married the love of his life, Judy. Together they built a life centered on family, five children and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring support. He was a proud father to Tonya (Roger) Houck, who preceded him in death, John Fishel, who also preceded him in death, Dawn (Andy) Lomelino, Kim (Tommy) Minor, and Amber (Roberto) Rodriguez.

Loren’s greatest joy was his family. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 11 great-grandchildren. He took immense pride in watching his family grow, always offering guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence.

In his professional life, Loren was the owner of Video Gaming Fun in Jacksonville, Illinois, where he built not only a business but also lasting relationships within the community. After years of hard work, he retired to Florida, where he enjoyed spending time surrounded by those he loved most.

A man of strong faith, Loren was deeply committed to his beliefs as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, shaping his character and guiding his actions. He lived with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Friday, April 17, 2026 at 5:00pm. Loren will be remembered for his steady strength, his love for his family, and the example he set through a life well lived. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
