February 20, 1938~October 11, 2026

Margaret “Marge” Smith, 88, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., beginning her beautiful journey home to Heaven.

Some people come into our lives and leave a little sunshine wherever they go. Marge was one of those beautiful souls. With her loving heart, wonderful sense of humor, and genuine kindness, she had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and loved. Her laughter, friendship, and generous spirit created memories that will be cherished forever.

For 33 years, Marge was a proud and devoted member of the Elks Lodge, serving as a Loyal Knight for many years. The Lodge was truly her second family. She generously volunteered countless hours, especially in support of veterans, a cause very dear to her heart.

And oh, how Marge loved her BINGO! For 17 years, she faithfully ran the Elks bingo hall, and for many years, she enjoyed playing bingo herself three or four times a week! She treasured the excitement, laughter, and friendships. Marge knew practically everyone at the Lodge. In fact, she could drive past the parking lot, recognize the cars, and tell you exactly who was inside! That was Marge — always remembering the people who made her life so special.

Above all, Marge cherished her family and the wonderful friendships she made throughout her life.

She is survived by her beloved son, John Krizek, and his wife, Mitzy; her cherished grandsons, Jerome and Zachary; and her loving niece, Laurie Jehlik Rines, with Rodney Rines, and her children Jennifer, Rebeccah, Jason, Samuel, and Katrina.

During Marge’s final journey home to Heaven, she was surrounded by the extraordinary love and devotion of dear friends. Rita brought so many of Marge’s friends together to visit her, filling her final days with familiar faces, treasured memories, and the beautiful reminder of how deeply she was loved.

Mike’s friendship and devotion were especially touching. Having lost his own beloved wife just a few months earlier, he was carrying tremendous heartache of his own. Yet he still found the strength and compassion to stand beside Marge, offering his friendship, comfort, and unwavering support when she needed him most. His kindness was truly a gift of love.

Judy and Jeannie were also blessings beyond words. Judy was always there whenever Marge needed her, answering every call for help, day or night, with unwavering kindness and compassion. Jeannie lovingly stayed by Marge’s side for several days while her niece Laurie had to be away, making certain she was never alone and always surrounded by comfort and care. Laurie was blessed to return and be with Marge when she made her final journey home to Heaven. The love and devotion of these remarkable friends brought peace to Marge and will forever be remembered with heartfelt gratitude.

Marge spent so much of her life giving her time, friendship, and love to others. How beautiful it was that, when she needed it most, that same love came back to surround her.
