Marie Kacerosky-Liebler, age 62, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. Born on December 5, 1963, in New York City, Marie spent her early childhood attending P.S. 46 before continuing her education at Our Lady of Refuge, where she remained from third grade on.
Marie dedicated close to 30 years of service to the school board, where she poured her heart into helping children learn to read, supporting staff through her secretarial work, and serving her community with devotion and care. Her commitment to education reflected her generous spirit and deep belief in nurturing others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Catherine; her dear sister, Barbara; and her cherished dog, Lana.
Marie is lovingly survived by her two children, Barbie Collins and Lawrence Liebler, and her six treasured grandchildren — Savannah Collins, Joseph Collins, James Collins, Scarlett Collins, Sandy Collins, and Dean Liebler — who affectionately knew her as “Nana.” Being a grandmother brought her immense pride and joy.
A memorial service will be held at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church at 715 E Orange St, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689, at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16th, 2026.
Marie will be forever remembered for her unwavering love of motherhood, her kind and compassionate heart, her youthful enthusiasm, and her remarkable ability to brighten anyone’s day with her contagious laugh. Her warmth, strength, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marie was the first friend I made when I moved to Florida years ago. She was the one who convinced me to get a job at the same school as her. I am so glad she became a lifelong friend. I will cherish every moment we spent together. RIP dear Marie.
