Murray, Marilyn 81, of Hudson died July 27, 2019. She is survived by husband Robert; Daughter Sharon; granddaughters Tanya and Lisa; five great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother Donald.

A Wife, a Mother, a Grandma too
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, and gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.

Marilyn Elizabeth Murray, 81 passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 27th, 2019. She was the wife of Robert M. Murray. They shared 60 years of their life together, (married for 57). They met in Key West,Florida at a diner named, The Charcoal Hut, where Marilyn was a waitress. Her Husband, Robert was in Navy and stationed at the Naval base there, at the time they met. They married in New York City.

Born in Medulla, Florida on November 03,1937, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Perry Lee Smith. She was the eldest of 10 children.

She was a member of the World Wide Church of God for many years and passed down her love of the Lord and his blessings to her child and grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her strong faith, love and commitment to Gods word.

Her strong willed personality, love and commitment to her husband, grand daughters, great-grand children and great-great grandchild was never ending. She lived for and raised her only two Grand-daughters,Tanya L. Dadez(Husband James) and Lisa M.Won (Husband Phillip), whom in turn gave her four (4) Grandsons, Robert W, Howe (wife Rachael), Austin G. Howe (wife Keila), Alex E. Orta (partner Maya Stepaniak), Corey Won, one (1) Great Grand daughter, MaLaine T. Won and one (1) Great-Great Grandson, Michael Howe (Parents Austin and Keila Howe). She was a mother and grandmother to so many others they couldn't possibly be counted, but they all know who they are 🙂

She loved gardening, planting and being in the presence of the Lord daily. She would often just stand outside with the sun on her face and 'breathe” in the Lords blessings each day. She loved wine, especially Merlot and would say that was the reason her natural red hair was so beautiful. She was a true Florida Cracker and didn't take anything for granted. She was always full of good 'ol piss and vinegar. She taught us many life lessons, but most importantly she taught us,”Not to take anything for granted” and to ALWAYS give thanks to “The Almighty”, because without Him, we are nothing.

She is survived by her Husband, Robert; Daughter Sharan, Granddaughters Tanya and Lisa; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; Brother Donald.
Her final resting place will be at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Per her wishes no memorial, or funeral will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association Research for Dementia in her name.
