Marylou passed away at home surrounded by her loving family   She was preceded in death by the love of her life Robert Whitelaw who passed away in 2020, and her son in law Michael Simpson.

Marylou was the devoted and beloved mother to Debi (Jim) Vranek, Denise Simpson and Rob (Mary) Whitelaw. A caring Grandma to: Jimmy (Kim), Bryan (Roxanne), Miguel, Dalton, Joshua and Logan as well as a very loved GGMa to Spencer, Ian and Westen, she has left a void her family cannot fill.

Born in Detroit Michigan Mary Lou and Bob came to New Port Richey, FL over 50 years ago, and they were owners of Heritage Interiors, where she made custom draperies. She dedicated her life to her husband and family, always there with a listening ear, great advice and a warm embrace. She was always the caregiver, listener, and guiding light. Marylou embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in all she did for her family and friends.

These few words will never capture the true essence of her kindness, generosity, and loving heart, she will be so missed.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held for August 23, 2026, we will be including our Father Bob Whitelaw as we could not have the Celebration in 2020 for him.
