Michael A. “Mike” Ray of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away at 9:45AM on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at HPH Hospice in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Mike was born to Neal Ray and Phyllis (Steinke) Ward, on October 2, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Frances (Fran) Pops on August 21, 1982 who survives at their residence.

He is survived by his parents; his son, Derek Ray of Leesburg, Florida; three brothers, Dennis (Lynne) Ray, James (Krissy) Ray, Neal (Tori) Ray, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” Ray and Jeff Ray, and a niece, Bethany Ray.

He was a 1977 graduate of New Knoxville High School, New Knoxville OH, and graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology in 1982 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Raytheon in Largo, Florida as an engineer for over 20 years.

His hobbies included golf, traveling, cards, and being resourceful around the house. Mike was a devoted husband and father, and he will be deeply missed by many.

To Fran,
I was a classmate of Mike's. We only had like 44 kids in the class, so we all knew each other. Mike was such a nice guy. So sorry for your loss.
